● You need to offer Engineer Jared multiple Dragon Bones in exchange for the high success rate.
● Engineer Jared only accepts non-purple equipment of Level 15 or higher.
● No sockets will be produced in this way but you can get a random equipment skill if you successfully upgrade the equipment from golden or higher.
NPC: Engineer Jared (Golden Plume City: 314, 155)
Dragon Bones required:
1. Talk to Engineer Jared and choose “Upgrade equipment grade” to learn the details.
2. Press G to give him the equipment you wish to use Dragon Bones on it.
3. Engineer Jared will tell you how many Dragon Bones he needs to upgrade its grade.

This might actually be good idea if it weren’t for the fact that dragon bones are so rare to drop. As it is, very few dragon bones drop and I can’t see many players upgrading their equipment in this manner. Those who sell dragon bones price them very expensive and being as such, it’s a waste to spend them this way. If the drop rate of dragon bones were increased significantly, so that players have a chance to find more than 1 dragon bone a month or longer, it might be worthwhile to use the NPC to upgrade equipment.

So if i have blue sword and i wanna make it purple i have to use 14 DB ??!! which is 56 Bullion ?!!
and there is a chance to have sword with nothing intresting skill i have to throw it away coz no one will buy it from me even !!!

well thats worthless i would rather test my luck using 8 d-bones on the piece of equipment and chance it giving me a socket too (w/e sockets are for xD), but yeah this is worthless seeing as how you get 1 d-bone a month for a drop rate and they are like 4 bullion in the mall.

i got the idea/reason why 8 dragon bones.. at upgrading gold equip to purple ones the chance is 12% (i think that’s for player crafted) so 8*12=almost 100..
negative:
but seriously.. no skills or sockets? thats insane.. the fact that you want to upgrade an equipment or spend all of your time trying with dragon bones is to get a skill or even add a socket.. if your lucky, you used one dragon bone upgrading,socket emerged,and a hot skill.
positive:
while trying to upgrade an equipment you might even use 9-to-how much luck has left you dragon bones just to change its quality. even add an extra stats to its 214-376 PA is not bad.. or to look cooler (hey my item is purple!).
conclusion:
its a player choice on what process or path to choose. if he/she’s on a “safer” side maybe ask the engineer or if he/she’s on the aggressive side or “I have plenty of LUCK today” maybe drag the dragon bones and hope for a better future.

as deeyana said, 100% success rate is for safe players. if you don’t know like it, you can still use dragging thingy. you’re not forced to use new the mechanism.
btw, we’ll add new items to give equip skill.

And the red itens??
I already saw a red iten in treasure box, so goes the question. Can a purple iten be turned into a red one with DB? What’s the chance? Will the npc be upgrade to turn purple into red with 10DB e.g.?

aw…i oly get 1db per 4months this is a shame i neeed 8dbs to upgrade my yellow equipment… hey can i still put equipment skills if i bought it in purple color? it will go to waste if it doesnt have skills..

i wish that Dragon bones will be drop in monster in higher rate but if the rate of drops of dragon bone the equips will be on low status bcoz many players can upgrade their equipments..

You can use them to refine your equipment. Press “V”->”Basic”->right click on the second skill named “Compose”->put your equipment and corresponding gem in->click OK.
