Hephaestus Stone
After hundreds of thousands of trial and failure, Destiny’s engineers and blacksmiths finally developed a new technique in equipment skill. They named it after Hephaestus, the God of technology, blacksmiths and craftsmen in ancient Greek mythology.
Name: Hephaestus Stone 
Description: A magic stone from the god of blacksmiths that can convert an existing equipment skill into a new one.
Usage: Drag a Hephaestus Stone onto a piece of equipment. The system will detect whether the equipment has a skill on it.
# If “yes”, that skill will be replaced by a random new skill of the same level.
e.g. A Whitesnow Staff originally has an equipment skill “Envenom Lv.5”. It also has 6 sockets with 4 of the sockets embedded with Rainbow Stones. If you use a Hephaestus Stone on this staff, the system will randomly pick a new equipment skill and assign it to the staff. If the new skill is “Glaciate”, the staff will now have the new skill “Glaciate Lv.5”, and it will still have 6 sockets with 4 Rainbow Stones.
# If it doesn’t have a equipment skill, the system will tell you that the Hephaestus Stone cannot work on the equipment without a skill.
* Tip: How to obtain an equipment skill
If you successfully upgrade a piece of equipment from Golden to Purple, regardless of whether you do it yourself or with the help of Engineer Jared, the equipment will obtain a skill for sure.
