Equipment System

Destiny Online has a very powerful and addictive Equipment System.

Equipment Quality:

he equipments in Destiny Online are of different grades, as indicated by the colors of their names. The quality improves in the following order: White, Green, Blue, Golden and Purple. The white equipments are of normal quality; while the purple equipments are of the most supreme quality.

Equipment Appraisal

All equipments

Except for the white equipments dropped by monsters, the ones sold in the stores, and the ones rewarded by quest NPCs, all equipments must be appraised before they can be used.

To appraise an equipment of level 30 or lower, simply visit Weapon Dealer, Armorer, or Grocer. To appraise equipment higher than level 30, you must use a “Deity Rune” or a “War Rune”.

Source of Runes

Warriors and Priests both have rune-producing skills: A warrior can learn a skill called “Armor Rune” which produces Deity Runes, while a Priest can learn a skill named “Heaven Rune” which makes War Runes. Both Warriors and Priests can advance their corresponding skill levels to produce Runes of higher level.

Equipment Crafting

In Destiny Online, the Blacksmith and Tailor can craft weapons and armor for you but you have to provide them with the materials required.

1. Two kinds of Life Skill materials: Basic and Advanced

There are a large number of basic Life Skill materials, all easily available. You can find them by killing monsters whose levels are lower than that of the equipment you desire to craft. For example, to craft a Level 15 weapon, you need to collect the required basic Life Skill materials from monsters under Level 15.

There are five types of advanced materials, as shown in the following table:

Different types of equipment require different types of Gems. The Gems also have four different levels, such as Iron Gem level 1, Gold Gem level 3, etc.

2. Before the crafting starts, you need to select the desired Equipment Level and Quality, which determine the basic and advanced materials required for the crafting.

The desired Equipment Level determines the level of monsters that you need to kill to obtain the Basic Materials. For example, if you wish to craft equipment of level 40, please kill monsters of about level 35-40 to get the necessary materials.

The desired Equipment Quality determines the level of Gems you need to prepare for the crafting. Level 1 Gems are required to make Green Equipment; Level 2 Gems are required to make Blue Equipment; Level 3 Gems are required to make a Golden Equipment; and Level 4 Gems are required to make a Purple Equipment.

You can name your own equipment after you craft it.

3 Equipment Refining

In Destiny Online, All equipment can be further refined, regardless of the source of the equipment. Simply collect the necessary Refine Gems, and select the “Compose” skill to start refining.

Only appraised equipment, however, can be refined. To start refining, a Refine Gem is necessary.

There are nine kinds of Refine Gems available. Each of them helps to improve one of the following attributes of your equipment:MP(Energy Gem), PA(Strength Gem), PD(Defence Gem), MA(Intelligence Gem), MD(Spirit Gem), Dodge(Dodge Gem), Hit(Precision Gem) and Critical Hit(Holy Gem). After the refining, a number such as (+2) will be added to the equipment name to show its Refine Level, and the corresponding attribute of the equipment will be increased, as a result of the refining.

To refine a piece of equipment, a Refine Gem of one level higher than the original equipment level is required. You cannot use a Refine Gem of the same level as or two levels higher than the level of the original equipment. For example, if you wish to refine a piece of equipment from “+1″ to +2, you will need a Level 2 Refine Gem. The higher Refine Level, the better Refine Gem will be required. The top Refine Level is 10 and so is the Level of a Refine Gem.

You can get Level-1 Refine Gems by killing monsters and picking up their drops. You can compose level 2 or higher Refine Gems by using the “Compose” skill on five Refine Gems of the same kind and one level lower. It will cost you 5 Vigor Points to compose a Refine Gem. If you don’t have enough Vigor Points, the system will prompt “You don’t have enough Vigor Points to compose a Refine Gem.” The success rate of composing Refine Gems is 100%.
