Marriage System
In the world of Destiny Online, couples in love can get married via the Marriage system.
Requirements:
1. You and your spouse-to-be must reach at least Level 30.
2. You two must be a heterosexual couple.
3. Both of you must be single. Once you get married, you have to obtain a divorce before you marry someone else.
Procedures
1. If you don’t have a partner, you can talk to Miss Luna in Golden Plume City to put your name on the marriage-seeking list and issue an advertisement. She can also help you to look up in the marriage-seeking list to see who wants a partner or to make your love declaration to your darling. The declaration costs 1 Gold and will be displayed in the way of system messages at the top of the window.
2. If you and your beloved one meet all the requirements above, please wear your wedding suit and gown, team up with each other and let the team leader talk to Mr. Luna in Golden Plume City. You must also have 258 Gold to pay for the service.
3. The team leader must then click on the option of “We want engagement.”
4. When the team leader clicks on the NPC again, a new option will pop up saying “Enter the wedding area”. Click “OK”, and you two will be teleported to a Wedding Map where the NPC called Luna Spirit stands. Talk to him and choose “The wedding begins.”
Benefits
There are some unique Couple Skills for married couples.
<1> Telesthesia: teleports your spouse to you instantly.
<2> Eternal Love: transfers all the damage your spouse receives to you for an hour when you two are in a team.
<3> Love Gift: increases you and your spouse’s PA and MA by 10% for an hour when you two are in a team.

it takes a couple a lot to have a happy marriage in real life. thats why we makes 2000 friendship in the game. you dont want marry-and-divorce easily like britney spears right?
you need to team up with your bride/groom to be in the game and train together. you’ll gain 0.1 friendship everything you kill a mob so you can do the math=)

I was going to try this game until I saw this page. You have to be a heterosexual couple? Why? Non-heterosexual couples are legitimate, this is not even real life let alone based on a real place, and additionally it’s not even a Christian-based game. There’s talk of God putting suns in the sky and shooting them down and taking his power, etc. Why are same-sex marriages not allowed?

It’s not that we approve or disapprove same same marriage. Any orientations are welcomed in Destiny Online. But this is just how most MMO games do about the marriage system and since the game is still in testing, we decide to go with the majority and not to distinguish us from others on this so far. Sorry if this is disappointing to you.

It is disappointing if only in the fact that people often play opposite sex characters anyway. I just don’t see what the harm is, or how it would change gameplay at all. Maybe after testing, you can bandy about the idea and see if perhaps an alteration would be appropriate. Thank you for your response though.
